Job Description:

  • Defining the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management
  • Creating a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
  • In consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select staff and/or volunteers with appropriate skills for the project activities
  • Responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through motivation, counselling, skills development and product knowledge development
  • Responsible for managing the sales team, developing a business plan covering sales, revenue, and expense controls, meeting agreed targets, and promoting the organization’s presence t
  • Coordinating proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results
  • Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams
  • Holding regular meeting with entire team
  • Educating sales team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts
  • Determination of the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project
  • Overseeing construction and dismantling and removal of the event and clearing the venue efficiently
  • Post-event evaluation
  • Providing follow-up with the clients to find out if the event was considered successful
  • Monitoring the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
  • Ensuring that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality

 

Requirements:

  • Graduate/ Post Graduate/ MBA in Project Management, Communication Management, business studies or equivalent relevant studies
  • 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Relationship/Interpersonal Skills – ability to build relationships and to work effectively with people of diverse social, faith, economic, and racial/ethnic backgrounds
  • Ability to manage many complex projects simultaneously in team environment. Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment
  • Energy – Consistently maintaining high levels of activity or productivity; sustaining long working hours when necessary; operating with vigour, effectiveness, and determination over extended periods of time.  Able to work in fast-paced environment
  • Able to manage time effectively and efficiently in accordance to priority, and make decisions in a timely manner under tight deadlines and pressure
  • Ability to motivate and drive team members to meet timelines and objectives without damaging relationships
  • Comfortable communicating with all organizational levels, from President to support staff
  • Easy to approach, a good listener, and relates well to people. Builds constructive and effective relationships inside and outside the organization

Job Description:

  • To develop and deliver an Ecommerce sales strategy for our Decorama magazine and team
  • To ensure that all advertising revenue streams are maximized
  • To deliver your team budget at a minimum
  • To achieve targeted revenues and yields on your team and through your magazine by maximizing the revenue generated from existing and well as developing new advertising clients
  • To ensure that all members of your team have a clear grasp of your strategy, revenue commitments and implications for under delivery
  • Other ad hoc duties as required
  • To have a clear and measurable advertising strategy for your magazine and ensure that your sales team, publishing team and editorial team have all understood and bought into the strategy
  • To deliver accurate forecasts as requested by your Advertisement Director and to be able to communicate year- end figures any time
  • Regular analysis of market share year-on-year as well as month by month with problem areas highlighted to the team and strategies and tactics to overcome them implemented
  • To ensure all sales team members understand the monthly targets and updated with ‘to go’ figures at least once a week
  • To ensure the sales team have a full editorial list at the beginning of each issue
  • To ensure market/category managers have a rebook list as soon as a new issue opens
  • To run the flat plan to ensure that all key positions deliver maximum revenues
  • To ensure weekly expense projections are accurately updated as required
  • To ensure monthly reports, MMI, exceptions and comments are be submitted each month by relevant deadline
  • To liaise with production team to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Ensure issues are flagged against flat plans on deadlines accurately. Send copy of flat plan with OC number for accounts
  • To make sure your team have media packs, deadlines, rates etc. and can use them effectively
  • To communicate any relevant market information to the sales team with analysis of client/revenue implications
  • Develop strong working relationships with all departments within Future to deliver key responsibilities
  • To know your top spending clients across the magazine, monitoring year-on-year growth/decline by regular contact with all members of your team
  • Deliver the highest level of professionalism to your clients. Focus on growth of market share per account you manage. Be proactive in all commercial activity and develop and exploit all new revenue streams
  • To sell media solutions to a selection of clients both over the phone and face-to-face and to offer these clients solutions to their problems.

Requirements:

  • Graduate/ Post Graduate/ MBA in Project Management, Communication Management, business studies or equivalent relevant studies
  • Proven experience of media sales including selling media solutions, both print and online, on the
  • phone and face-to-face and delivering complete media solutions.
  • Experience of a commercial sales environment including the ability to reach the targeted effectiv
  • calls per week and maximize and deliver targeted revenues
  • Experience of generating new business streams within an advertising environment
  • Ability to generate significant forward bookings and up-sell existing clients
  • Team player who is used to working towards team targets
  • A good understanding of people management
  • Strong negotiator
  • Excellent relationships building skills at all levels of a business
  • Effective communication skills including excellent presentation skills, confident telephone manner and excellent telephone sales skills
  • Know how clients and agencies trade and buy media and how these process can work with publishing processes
